A government employee who was shot at by unknown gunmen in Nildoora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday succumbed at a hospital in Srinagar, reports said.
They said that unknown gunmen fired upon Sabzar Ahmad Naikoo son of Abdul Rasheed Naikoo at his native Nildoora village, leaving him critically injured.
He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment where from he was shifted to a Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment in view of critical injuries.
However, he succumbed at the SMHS hospital, news agency GNS quoted Medical Superintendent Dr. Nazir Choudhary as having said.
A senior police officer told GNS that Naikoo worked in Rural Development Department.
