An improvised explosive device (IED) was found on a roadside near Arampora in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.
Official sources told news agency GNS that the IED was detected by the police and army.
They said bomb disposal squad teams of the Army and police reached at the spot and destroyed it safely.
A senior police officer also confirmed that the IED was defused after being recovered by a joint party.
