India, Pakistan armies’ exchange fire along LoC in Gurez

The armies of India and Pakistan on Tuesday exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Bagtore sector of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

According to local sources, the firing started at around 7 pm in the evening and is intermittently going on since.  

   

Reports reaching Greater Kashmir said that Pakistan army opened fire on two Indian army posts near Tarabal Bagtore along the LoC.

They said at around 6:45 pm, Pakistan army resorted to light-machine gun fire along the LoC which was effectively retaliated by the Indian army.

Locals sources added that small arms were being used in the exchange, while official confirmation on the ceasefire voilation was still awaited.
