India, Pakistan trade fire along LoC in J&K’s Poonch

The armies of India and Pakistan on Tuesday exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

An army spokesman said that Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation at 10:30 am by firing with small arms and shelling mortars along LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors of the district.

   

He said the Indian Army was retaliating befittingly.

There was no immediate report of any immediate loss of life of injuries on either side.
