Army on Saturday said Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote sector of J&K’s Poonch district.
A Jammu based army spokesman in a statement said, “At about 11:40 am, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along LoC in Balakote sector.”
It said that Army replied befittingly to the unprovoked shelling.
However, a police official said no loss of lives or damage to property has been reported so far.
