IPS officer tests positive for COVID-19 in J&K’s Kathua

An IPS officer tested positive for COVID-19 in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, officials said.

The senior police officer had given his sample for covid test, yesterday. The test report of this IPS officer has confirmed infection of covid19, said an official. 

   

Accordingly, he has been hospitalized at the Isolation Ward of Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, Katra. 

However, the cops posted with this police officer have tested negative. 

Pertinently, an Advisor to Lt Governor and the BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina also remained in isolation ward of this hospital in Katra after they were tested positive for COVID-19.

Both of them recovered and were discharged from the hospital.
