Lecturer, 58, dies of heart attack in north Kashmir’s Bandipora

A 58-year-old lecturer from north Kashmir’s Bandipora died of heart attack on Monday afternoon.

Tariq Ahmad Shah was a chemistry lecturer and was presently serving as Principal Higher Secondary Kaloosa.

   

Shah is from Nadihal village located on the town outskirts and was serving as Principal Arin Higher Secondary prior to his recent posting, according to his colleagues.

Medical Superintendent, DH Bandipora, Dr Bashir Teeli said that Ahmad was brought dead to the hospital at 2 pm today”. 

According to the doctor, Shah was hypertensive and had a history of stroke.

His demise has sent shockwaves among the teacher community and students.

He is survived by his wife -also a lecturer- and a daughter.
