Militant attack army patrol in Sopore; soldier reportedly wounded

A soldier was reportedly wounded after militants attacked an army patrolling party in Hygam area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, reports said.

They said that the militants attacked the patrolling party of 52 RR near Trumgund Hygam crossing on the Baramulla-Srinagar Highway, leaving a soldier injured.

   

They said the area was cordoned off by the army to trace the militants.

There was no official word on any casualties so far.
