Authorities have sealed Nowshera sub-division as well as the sub district hospital after a health department official, who had tested COVID-19 positive, went missing on Tuesday evening, officials said today.
An official said that a store-keeper of the hospital was randomly sampled a few days ago and his positive report was received on Tuesday evening.
“Soon after the report was received, a Quick Reaction Team of health department was rushed to the house of the patient but he went missing after which a massive search operation was launched to trace him,” said the official.
Authorities sealed the Nowshera town and sub-district hospital as a precautionary measure.
“We have closed sub district hospital for fumigation and sanitization and entire staff has been quarantined,” Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera, SS Sambyal said.
