Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC in Poonch: Army

Pakistan Army on Thursday violated resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, army said.

A Jammu-based spokesman of Indian army said that on Thursday morning, Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along LoC in many locations. 

   

He said that at 05:30 AM, Pak fired in Mankote sector and at about 11:45  AM in Degwar sector and the at about 12:15 PM in Mendhar sector of District Poonch.

He said that the Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.

On the other hand, a senior police officer said that no loss of life has been reported yet in the shelling.
