Rajouri registers three COVID-19 deaths in less than 24 hours

Three persons died due to COVID-19 in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir in the past 24 hours, officials said today.

They said that a 75-year-old man from Chowkian area of Darhal had tested positive for Coronavirus two days ago and he died on Monday late evening and his last rites were performed as per SOPs today.

   

An aged woman hailing from Pangai village of Thanamandi was admitted at SKIMS Soura in Srinagar where she died on Monday late evening after which her body was brought to her native village.

Officials informed that a 40-year-old man from Nowshera, who was working in the postal department, had tested positive for Coronavirus a couple of days ago and was hospitalized after his health deteriorated.

“The said man also died in the late evening hours on Monday,” said an official.

Earlier, on Monday morning, former MLA Kalakote and NC State Secretary, Thakur Rashpal Singh died during treatment at SMVDN Hospital Katra after he had tested positive for Coronavirus.
