Recently-recruited LeT militant arrested in south Kashmir’s Awantipora

Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a militant of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

In a statement, a spokesman said the police along with 50 RR & 185 CRPF have arrested a militant who had been recruited recently.

   

The spokesman said that Faisal Ahmad Dar, a resident of Khankah Bagh Pampore, was held near Konibal crossing.

He said Dar went missing on 11th September to join the militant ranks and was active in Anantnag, Awantipora and Pampore area.

The spokesman said that Dar had uploaded an audio on social media on 13th September in which he had announced joining militancy, and requested his parents not to look for him anymore.

Incriminating material of outfit Laishker-e-Toiba has been recovered from the said militant, said the spokesman, adding that a case FIR number 79/2020 under relevant section of law stands registered at Police Station Pampore.
