Unknown gunmen on Thursday looted cash from a van in Tak Mohallah near the main branch of Jammu and Kashmir bank in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said.
A senior police officer told news agency GNS that at least four gunmen attacked the van and decamped with Rs 60-80 lakh cash.
A manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers and recover the looted cash, he said.
