Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in two villages of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday morning.
Reports said that columns of army, CRPF and police encircled Chitragam and Melhora villages of the district and carried out door to door searches.
The searches, according to the reports, were launched after the forces were tipped off about the presence of militants in these areas.
The operation was underway at the time of filing this report.
