A truck driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Jawahar Tunnel on the Jammu-Srinagar highway last night, reports said.
Quoting a police official, news agency KNO reported that a truck driver identified as Manzoor Ahmed Lone, son of Abdul Rehman Lone from Dalgate, Srinagar was found dead in his truck around 1:30 am.
He was rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Banihal where doctors declared him brought dead, said the official.
A case under 174 CrPc has been registered and further investigation taken up, he added.
He said apparently it seems that the man has died due to “cardiac arrest”.
