A truck was completely destroyed in a mysterious fire incident in Drass area of Kargil district on Thursday.
Reports said that a truck parked near Batra Drass along the Srinagar-Kargil highway caught fire on Thursday afternoon resulting in complete damage to it.
They said that some drivers made an unsuccessful bid to douse the flames.
The driver who hails from Himachal Pradesh said that flames emanated from the truck (PB13B-J8413) all of a sudden, damaging it completely.
It is said that the driver had lit a fire near the truck to escape freezing temperatures. “This is seen as a likely cause of the mishap,” said an official.
