Two persons diedand another was injured in a road accident on the
Srinagar-JammuNational Highway in Ramban district, officials said today.
An official saidthat a goods vehicle on way to Chanderkoot from Banihal skidded off the roadand rolled down into a 400ft gorge at Maroog last night.
He said one of theoccupants, identified as Faryad Ahmed s/o Manzoor Ahmed, aged 26, died on thespot, while two others were injured.
The injured,identified as Mansoor Ahmed (25),son of Mashkoor Ahmed and Naseem Ahmad (26),son of Maqsood Ahmed were shifted to district hospital Ramban where Mansoorsuccumbed.
The official saidthat Naseem is being shifted to GMC Jammu for specialised treatment.
