Two persons died and three others were injured in a road accident on Srinagar—Jammu national highway in Sether area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir on Friday.
An official told the news agency KNO that a cab collided head-on with a private car on the highway, resulting in on spot death of two persons and injuries to three others travelling in the car.
He identified the deceased as Mohammad Saeed Itoo (50) son of Mohammad Yousuf Itoo and Mohammad Ayoub Wani (45) son of Abdullah Wani—both residents of Achidora.
The injured were identified as Amina wife of Mohammad Saeed, Parveena daughter of Abdul Rashid and Musaib Rashid—all residents of Ancidora.
The official said that the injured were shifted to Srinagar for specialised treatment and their condition is said to be critical.
