A youth allegedly stole a passenger cab from a village in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir and died in a crash today morning.
Reports said that Farooq Ahmad had parked his Tata Sumo vehicle (bearing registration number JK14B 1900) on a link road near his village Alsi last night. However, to his surprise the vehicle was missing today morning.
While searching for it, he came to know that the vehicle had met with an accident ahead of the spot where he had parked it.
An official said that the vehicle had rolled down into a 500ft deep gorge. “When people rushed to the accident spot, they found the body of a youth, aged around 20 and 22,” he said.
He added that the owner had lodged a missing report with the concerned police station today morning.
