Coaching menace

Greater Kashmir

Now that the debate on postponement of annual examinations from November to March is over, the Director School Education Kashmir has categorically said that the educational session has been shifted permanently from November to March. It is a welcome step and is appreciated by one and all. It not only suits our seasonal conditions but also gets our academic session at par with the rest of the country.
But it has taken an ugly turn as the coaching centers have started luring the innocent students through their colorful, attractive and deceptive advertisements to join their coaching centers without appearing (not to talk of passing) the previous one. How confusing it is? A student of class 10th who has to appear in the 110th class examination in March is asked to join coaching class for 11th,(which he has to appear in march 2016). A tender soul who has to appear in the board examination for the first time is asked to join new class.
It is unkind and unjustified approach of coaching centers. It is only to add to the miseries of students and to grab money. The issue needs to be taken seriously by the authorities.
