Poverty challenges

Greater Kashmir

The biggest cause of poverty in India is rapid growth of population. The second is lack of employment. Unemployment is the reflection of poverty. Because of lack of employment opportunities, people remain either unemployed or underemployed. Poverty is also said to be closely related to the levels of schooling and these two have a circular relationship. In India 68%  of money is spent on defense, cricket and politics. The point is why poor people have no right to live a valuable life. Why poor people sleep on footpaths, why beggars beg outside the mosques, churches, mandirs and  bus stops. These are major challenges facing India.
