Hepatitis-B Vaccination drive launched

Jammu: Minister for Health and Medical Education. Mangat Ram Sharma Friday launched drive of free Hepatitis-B Vaccine for children upto one year age in the state from Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu. 
 Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister said “it gives me immense pleasure to announce that the drive of conducting Hepatitis-B Vaccination in all the districts of the state has been launched from today in all districts to cover over three lakh children upto the age of one year”.
 “The vaccine shall be provided free of cost indicating governments deep concern for the health care of people especially in rural areas”, he said.
 He said Hepatitis-B Vaccine available at all immunization centers would be introduced alongwith three dozes of DPT and Polio vaccine.
 Sharma said “Jammu and Kashmir State is a high focused state among 18 states of the country under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) which guarantees the upgradation of Health Care Facilities across the state”.
