JKLF angry at Azad's statement

Greater Kashmir

Srinagar: Reacting to a statement of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, pro-independence Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Monday said India has been “committing worst kind of atrocities in Kashmir for the past 18 years.”
In a statement here, a JKLF spokesperson said, “During last 58 years and particularly last 18 years Indian troops have been busy in killings, rape, torture and heinous crimes in Kashmir. Mr Azad should remember that the district where from he issued the statement is a live example of Indian atrocities.”
“In Banihal of the same district, women were raped and people were killed. Sopur, Handwara, Kawdara, Rampora, Magam, Pattan, Lal Chowk, Bandipora, Budgam, Shopian, Tral and other hundreds of areas of the state are witness to the atrocities of the troops,” the statement said.
It said: “Azad Sahib should remember that Kashmiris who offered the sacrifices are fully aware about the happenings in the state. He should be ashamed of the activities of Indian troops in the state and should ask the India to end its illegal occupation in Kashmir.”
