'Pro-active Governor' by Governor

Jammu, Jan 19: Governor S K Sinha has been giving final touches to his book “Proactive Governor” based on his days in the Raj Bhawan in Jammu and Kashmir during the last five years.
 The Governor who is scheduled to retire in June 2008 had started writing the book over a year ago. The Governor has listed series of instances wherein he played an active role in conveying problems of the people in remote areas, which he visited to the state Government.
 Sinha has been the first Governor in the state who has been  seen presiding over functions, seminar and conferences organized by the universities and by several educational institutions. As head of the two major boards, the Mata Vaishnov Devi and Amarnath Shrine Board, he has evinced in keen interest in ensuring better facilities for the pilgrims.
 His experiences with three chief Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah, Mufti Sayeed and Ghulam Nabi Azad. Except for his strained relations with the Mufti he has had very cordial equation with Azad and Dr Farooq Abdullah.
 Raj Bhawan sources said the Governor was trying to finish writing the book so that before he hangs his boots in June 2008 it is published. (KIP)
