Protest at Leh airport

Greater Kashmir

Leh, Mar 23: Hundred of people on Monday protested against the airport officials for not allowing them inside the airport to receive their relative pilgrims who had come from Iraq and Iran.
The people who had come from Kargil resented the behaviour of airport officials who not only refused them the entry but heckled them.
“The is pure discrimination by the officials towards us. When any political leader from Ladakh arrives, he is being welcomed by hundreds of his sympathisers with flowers and Khatak (traditional cloth),” said a relative of a pilgrim.
The councilor Syeed Aga Abbas, who was a pilgrim, said he will take up the matter with the higher authorities.
