Will discuss NC offer in PAC: PDP

Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 13: Reacting to National Conference’s formal offer of support on government formation in J&K, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Tuesday said its Political Affairs Committee (PAC) would take a call on it.
However the party said people have voted for change in the state elections and it would discuss whether that change can be realized with National Conference’s support for government formation or not.
“We have a taken note of this (offer). The Political Affairs Committee will meet and take a call on it,” said PDP’s chief spokesman, Naeem Akther. The PAC is the highest decision making body of the PDP.
However Akther said people participated in large numbers in the elections as they were “fed up with the Omar Abdullah-led government.”
“People voted for change and we will have to consider whether that change can be realized with such (NC) support for government formation,” he said.
