ISRO to launch radar imaging satellite on May 22

India will launch RISAT-2B, a radar imaging earth observation satellite, using Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-Core Alone (PSLV-CA) variant, on May 22, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said on Saturday.

According to the space agency, the PSLV rocket will blastoff from the first launch pad carrying RISAT-2B at 5.27 a.m. on May 22, subjectto weather conditions.Like the previous launch events, the ISRO hasmade provisions for public to view the launch from recently opened Viewer’sGallery at the SatishDhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, in Andhra Pradesh.Online registration for the Viewer’s Gallery will start five days before thelaunch.
