However, the Congress on Friday slammed the government overits handling of the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak in the country and demandedthat Prime Minister Narendra Modi should head the committee on Covid-19, whichhas been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).TheCongress alleged that the Prime Minister was securing himself by not attendingthe Parliament and by not going for public functions.
