We would like to introduce ourselves as family members and close relatives of late Arjumand Majid Bhat (Alias Raju) of Jetty Baramulla who was murdered in cold blood on 30-03-2019 at his shop in main Chowk Baramulla.
We are writing this message to you in reference to this cold-blooded murder. You must be aware of that gruesome and brutal murder of Arjumand Majid in broad day as your media network covered the tragic incident.
It was reported by most of the media outlets that “civilian shot dead by unknown gunmen” in Baramulla.
Our family is shattered by this tragedy but unfortunately almost all media outlets abstained from visiting our family and our home in Jetty Baramulla to hear our cries and to hear our side of story, to know about Arjumand Majid, to know what kind of work he was doing, to know how many lives of youths he had saved who were suffering from the menace of drug abuse.
We fail to understand why there is deafening silence fromeverybody on this brutal murder? Why doesn’t media institution like yours hearour voices and let the administration find the murderers and culprits so thatthey are brought to justice? Why is there selective coverage of incidents? Weknow it is the work of administration and the police to track down themurderers but we request your kind help so that our voices can reach the deafears of administration.
Kindly visit our family home in Jetty Baramulla and hear our voices so that administration can know our pain and find his murderers and bring them to justice. We want you to highlight this issue so that we can get justice and his killers are nabbed as soon as possible.
We want to know who killed him? Who are these “UNKNOWN GUNMEN”? If militants had killed him, let them speak and tell us his fault, if not then at least distance themselves from it?
