DSEK plans ‘A Day with School Children’

The directorate of school education Kashmir (DSEK) is planning regular interactions between teachers and schools in the government schools across Kashmir.

As per the initiative, the director education Kashmir will be visiting morning assembly and classrooms besides holding separate interaction with teaching staff. “The director’s visits will be entirely participatory and supportive rather than having any other purpose,” reads the official note prepared by the department.

The initiative will also prompt teachers to reach their schools on time as the DSEK as per the plan has decided to welcome the teachers at their arrival and attend morning assembly with students. “The session can also help in discussing with students their problem, solving ability, innovation they have done, problems at home and in school. Specially-abled children shall be addressed on priority,” reads the official document.

Students will also be engaged in different activities like drawings, paintings, skits and other extra-curricular activities. “Friendly discussions with teachers will be part of the initiative to understand the school dynamics, their working conditions and other issues faced by the staff in the school,” the document reads.
