DSEK starts a series of annual day functions

The directorate of school education Kashmir (DSEK) has started a series of annual day functions in government higher secondary schools across Kashmir.

Last week government higher secondary school Panzgam organized a programme to celebrate its annual day.

   

The function was attended by district development commissioner Pulwama GM Dar as the chief guest.

In his address, Dar stressed upon the students to inculcate reading habits and prepare themselves for the competitive exams.

He said hard work was only and indispensable ingredient for success.

Principal Higher Secondary School, teachers and civil society members were present on the occasion.

Another function of annual day was organized at  government boys’ higher secondary school (GBHSS), Duderhama Ganderbal, celebrated its annual day with pomp and show which was attended by students as well as teachers.

Deputy commissioner Ganderbal, Piyush Singla was the chief guest at the occasion while as chief education officer (CEO) Ganderbal Sheikh Gayas-ud-din, Principal GBHSS Ganderbal, Principal government girls higher secondary Nuner and other officials were also  present at the occasion.

During the function, the students showcased their talent by performing a variety of entertainment programmes, which had its hues from various parts of the state. Pashto programme and Ladishah was also presented on the occasion.

Singla in his speech complimented the students for their immense talent and also praised the faculty for an excellent academic performance and exhorted them to mould the children to contribute at the state as well as national level.

He further impressed upon the students to utilize their youthfulness and energy in a positive way, along with consistent hard work.

The annual report of the school was presented by Principal GBHSS Ganderbal, who highlighted the last year’s academic and co-curricular achievement.
