KAS Results delayed further

Jaate hue kehte ho qayammat ko milenge,

Kya khuub, qayammat ka hai goya koi din aur

These verses of Mirza Ghalib are felt by us, the 963mains-qualified candidates, perpetually since December 4, 2018, when resultsfor mains were declared. Whenever there appeared an order of deferment of thefurther process on one pretext or the other, we remembered this Ghalib.

My previous write-up was bereft of emotions, based purely onfacts, but this one would be somewhat laced with emotions as it becameinevitable. It is a well-known fact that delays and shelving of the processhurts people involved, and is in the interest of nobody. But, to my utterdismay, as an individual, when the order for further deferment came on 23rdMay, 2019 (a mini qayammat for qualified ones) many people were seencelebrating the postponement, how sad, and how sadist of them. Moreover, thetactics used by certain comrades to cement further delay was despicable (forthe lack of a better word) to say the least. The approach of false accusation(hurling a BLATANT LIE as the order reads, that too without a proof) was sounbecoming of an upright human, leave alone a civil-service aspirant. It wasthen, I realised ( late enough, though) that the sugar-coated sentences like”fighting for justice” etc., were but a facade. I acknowledge thatusing the word ‘facade’ here may sound a bit inappropriate, but itsappropriateness is for anyone to decide, after seeing the facts.

Even after clearing the major phase of state’s toughestexam, we 963 have been rendered helpless in the most cruel way, we werebombarded with expletives like blue-eyed, merit-looters, non-deserving amongmany others from day one.

As Raaz Allahabadi says

Mera daaman boht saaf hai, koi tohmat lagadijiye

Final selection list of KAS-2016 has become a wild goosechase seemingly now and there isn’t a single strong fact with the peopleresponsible for it.

The things stated herein are as clear to the stakeholders asa gushing stream in mountains, but the larger purpose of this write-up is toaware the audience that those emotional and devoid-of-proofs narratives hold nowater ( it is for anybody and everybody to check)

P.S. There is a significant positive in all this hotchpotchthough: Whosoever will be the final selectees now (277) will not taste an ordinarysuccess, it will be a success in real terms, undoing all the distastefulexperiences we have had hitherto. I pray, we see the day soon when all thefalse narratives are laid to rest and due credit be given to those 277.

As Faiz Ahmad Faiz says

Lazim hai ki hum bi dekhenge

So, we shall cheer up ( I and 962 others). This too shallpass. We shall overcome.

The infirm arguments like “we are postgraduates”hence bound to qualify are fit to be blown to smithereens and have provided asilver lining that this unfortunate case is bound to be done and dusted awaysooner than later.
