A Kashmiri scientist has been felicitated with the award of honor by Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Research (IAAVR) at 19th Indian veterinary congress.
The award to Dr Syed Basharat Ahmad Shah was presented jointly by vice chancellors (VCs) of various Indian universities.
The event was held on February 1 at West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata and Dr Basharat was felicitated in recognition of outstanding academic achievements and research contributions in the field of veterinary and animal sciences.
“Getting recognition from the prime national and internationally affiliated institutions incorporating scientists from more than 100 Universities is a matter of prestige in the scientific world,” said Dr Basharat. He is a resident of Bijbehara town of Anantnag district.
