For upcoming academic session of MBBS and BDS in medical and dental colleges of India, including J&K, registration for National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 will begin from 01 November. While NEET for MBBS and BDS in 2019-20 will be held on 05 May 2019, online registrations for examination will start on first day of November.
Aspirants desirous of taking admission in any of medical or dental colleges of India, except a few such as AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry, need to qualify NEET to be eligible to apply. In addition, this year, medical council of India (MCI) has made it mandatory to qualify NEET even for those aspirants who wish to study in medical or dental colleges abroad.
Although this year, aspirants who had not qualified NEET were given one-time exemption and allowed to join a college, from coming academic session, this concession is unlikely. The upcoming NEET will be a single exam and will be held in pen and paper mode.
The exam will be held in the same pattern as it was held last year and in the same number of languages. NEET registration can be made on www.nbe.edu.in
