Teaching technology

Dr. Syed Tanvir Indrabi

Refer to the article TECHNOLOGY: Future of Teaching by Dr. Muhammad Amin Malik (Greater Kashmir dated 10/12/2018.)

I agree with author's concluding remark that technology in the hands of great teachers will change the course of our world.

But technology and teaching cannot be clubbed. While teaching is an everlasting profession, there technology outdates with passage of time.  Professional teachers are endued with knowledge to share it with the aspirants besides constructing their moral building. It is, therefore, mandatory for an aspirant  to be in the vision of a mentor in the form of a  teacher. That way one can shape one’s future better. Environmental Science

Mool Raj

There are different subjects taught to students in Government school in which Environment Science is one. This subject was introduced in Jammu University by the kind efforts of M.C Mehta an Ecologist in 1997. Now the subject is compulsory taught upto college level due to the direction of Honble Supreme Court of India.’ There are  now JKPSC and DPC appointed lecturers of the said subject throughout the length and breath of the State. JKBOSE-Jammu appointed Botany and Zoology Subject lecturers for evaluating answers scripts of Environmental Science subject for the reasons best known to them. Instead of available lecturers of the Environmental Science, why they chose the other option. This gross discrimination with the lecturers of the said subject  is unfair. They also appointed  lecturers of other subjects for conducting practical exam of Environmental Science of 11th and 12th classes although the lecturers of the said subject are available. Every subject demands its own expertise and Environmental Science is an independent discipline which merits an independent treatment.
