Rufai makes it to the list of Writers Workshop

Writers workshop, Kolkata has selected, Syed Tahir Rufai, 21, for publishing his work which includes a Sufi poetry anthology named “66 for divine”. The book includes sixty-six poems that carry the essence of sufism. When asked about the book from Tahir he said “The book took me almost a decade to compile. I have written almost a thousand poems which I never showed to anyone but these sixty-six were the most beloved to me. Each poem has been inspired by some sufi order and I hope that every poem is able to touch the depths of the heart which reads them.”

The said publishing house has been very selective of itsauthors and poets and very few from the valley have been able to get their workpublished from Writers Workshop. Well-known names from the valley whose workhas been published by the publication include Agha Shahid Ali and Ayaz RasoolNazki which makes Tahir the youngest from the valley. In addition to well knownauthors and poets from Kashmir, the publishing house has also published writerslike Ruskin Bond and Kamala Das. Tahir has previously published a novella inthe year 2017 namely “The Flying Sparrows” and this upcoming book will be hissecond. The book will be out in next three months.
