Scrapping the process

The recent SAC decision of UT government taken regarding JK Bank recruitment has left lakhs of aspirants in misery and pain. Candidates were eagerly waiting for the results but to their dismay they got the news that UT administration had scrapped the whole recruitment process. Our hopes got shattered and we feel dejected. We had spent almost 2 years in this recruitment process and suddenly the govt. says they scrapped the process and let’s start afresh. We had spent a lot of time and energy for this recruitment. Many candidates left their corporate jobs, some missed their KAS Mains exams, others left their Masters Degrees. And how easily govt said, we will start new recruitment. We had worked very hard for this exam. We took coaching expenses, some took rented rooms. Some candidates had this last opportunity as they are now over age and can’t prepare anymore. Suddenly you can’t take this decision unilaterally. By this decision you are killing thousands of dreams.

There are some misconceptions in the press and in general. Some are saying we were backdoor appointees and government took a good decision. Actually JK Bank had advertised two recruitments of 250 Probationary Officers and 1200 Banking Associate posts in October 2018. This recruitment was said to be fast track and to be completed within 3 months but we are in 2020 and still the process is going on. Probationary Officers exam was a 3 stage process and Banking Associate only single stage process. Around 1.5 lakh candidates appeared in both exams held in April 2019. After declaring PO prelims results in May, there were some issues and protests regarding cut off. The matter got solved and Mains was held in June. Exams were conducted by IBPS, which is a national level recruitment body for banking exams. The exams were held in transparent manner. There may be some issues regarding PO exam but the Banking Associate exam had no issue. You are mixing both exams, if you think PO exam had some legal infirmities, you can go for re exam but what about 1200 Banking Associate posts. If there are some legal issues in PO recruitment, how can you scrap Banking Associate recruitment? What kind of justice is this for the unemployed youth of this UT. If you think selection list was tampered, IBPS still has the original copy of that list and they can give you. Recently ACB had filed a case regarding around 3000 backdoor appointments in JK Bank, instead of terminating them you are cancelling our selection list who have given exam in fair and transparent manner. What kind of justice you are doing.

This exam requires online practice and high speed internet. There are almost no books for this exam as this exam requires only online preparation and we know how Internet connectivity is here, so forget Re Exam. Why you are ruining our career as we have to prepare for other exams also?

Now we request LG GC Murmu to look into this matter and revoke this unfair decision which has left thousands of candidates in deep depression and despair.
