UG-NEET score valid for 3 years now

The medical council of India has cleared that validity of the result of under graduate-NEET shall be valid for three years from date of declaration of result. With the institution of “Eligibility Requirement for Taking Admission in an Undergraduate Medical Course in a Foreign Medical Institution (Amendment) Regulation -2019” the validity of score in undergraduate-NEET has been clear now.

As per this rule, “result of NEET shall be valid for three years from the date of declaration of result, entitling a candidate to pursue MBBS or equivalent medical course including pre-medical/language course, if any, followed by MBBS or equivalent medical course”.

Last year the MCI had made it mandatory to qualify UG-NEET even for aspirants seeking admission in foreign medical colleges. However, there was confusion regarding the validity of NEET score especially as it took more than a year, after NEET results, for colleges to conclude admissions. This amendment has come to effect from 14 March 2018, the day it was published in official gazette.
