Two policemen among three persons were injured in Salwah village of Mendhar in a scuffle between a team of police and villagers.
Sources said a team of police from Mendhar police stationwas sent to Salwah village on Saturday evening to arrest a man booked forgrowing poppy.
When the police team raided his house in Salwah village,sources said, some villagers resisted the action which led to heated argumentsbetween the two sides after which a scuffle broke out.
Police sources alleged that villagers attacked the cops onduty causing injuries of two police personnel including SGCT Yaseen Ahmed andSPO Mumtaz Ahmed. A civilian identified as Waseem Ahmed also got injured.
Sub divisional police officer Mendhar, Neeraj Padyar saidthat a case has been registered.
