2 die in Mughal road mishap

Two persons died after a vehicle plunged into a deep gorge near Ratta Chamb Morh on Mughal road.

According to a police official, a Tata Mobile bearing registration no JK12A 1129 driven by Nazakit Ali son of Mohammad Taj of Behra Mendhar was on its way from Pir Ki Gali towards Surankote when at about 03:45 PM, vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the gorge.

Driver along with another person Mushtaq Hussain son of Mohammad Sharief of Behra Mendhar died on the spot.

Later both bodies were retrieved from the gorge and shifted to sub district hospital Surankote for post mortem examination, SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral said. Block medical officer Surankote, Dr. Zulfkar Ahmed said that both persons were brought dead to hospital where medico-legal formalities were carried out.
