A 30-year-old man slipped to death from a snow-clad road in Lar, in sub-division Mahore, here on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Zulfkar, son of Mir Bagh and a resident of Kaidoora, Gulabgarh. As per reports, he was on way to Gulabgarh when he slipped from the snow-clad road and sustained grievous injuries.
The locals lifted him and tried to shift him to sub-district hospital, Mahore, but he succumbed on the way.
The locals, while talking to Greater Kashmir, lambasted the administration. “This is official apathy at its peak. We had asked the concerned authorities to clear the road, which has been covered with snow since the past week, but they (authorities) did not bother. Had the administration cleared the road, Zulfar would have been alive,” they said.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old man slipped to death from a hillock at Ghari area, in Reasi district.
Reports said that the man had gone to attend a marriage at Ghari. “While he was returning home, he slipped from the hillock and died,” reports added.
The deceased has been identified as Ranjeet Singh, son of Bahadur Singh and a resident of Hunder, tehsil Arnas.
