Two army soldiers posted on the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati area of Poonch district were injured in a landmine explosion late last night, an official source said Tuesday.

“The injured soldiers, including a junior commissioned officer, received multiple splinter injuries in their lower body parts,” the source said, adding that the explosion is reported to be a landmine blast which took place after one of the two soldiers “accidentally stepped over a landmine”.

The injured were identified as JCO Dheeraj Kumar, and Rajinder Singh.
