4 injured in road accidents

Three people sustained injuries in separate accidents on the Jammu-Poonch highway, while a 23-year-old man was injured after a scooty he was riding skidded off the road at Nomain in Katra on Sunday.

Reports said, “An accident took place on Sunday evening, in which a car hit a motorcycle, JK11C 6657, near a petrol pump in Sunderbani. As a result, the motorcycle rider, identified as Sushil Sharma, son of Sham Lal, and the pillion, Suman Sharma, wife of Krishna Lal, both residents of Thandapani, sustained injuries.”

   

The duo was admitted to sub-district hospital Sunderbani.

In another accident, a 35-year-old man, identified as Ashwani Kumar, son of Gaya Prasad and a resident of Bagnoti, was hit by a Tata Sumo at Bagnoti village on the highway. As a result, Kumar got injured. He was hospitalized and was under treatment, till last reports poured in.

Police have taken cognizance of both the incidents.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old man sustained injuries after the scooty he was riding skidded off the road at Nomain in Katra. He was identified as Ankush Badotra, son of Satpal and residence of Katra. He was shifted to CHC Katra, where he was administered first-aid.
