45 vehicles seized, 300 challaned in Rajouri town

The local traffic police claimed to have seized 45 vehicles and challaned another 300 in Rajouri town on Tuesday.

The drive was launched in the morning by a team of police led by SP Traffic Jammu Rural Mushtaq Chowdhary, who was accompanied by DySP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch Mohammed Rafiq and DTI Rajouri Sadaqat Qureshi.

   

During the day-long drive, check-posts were established at various locations of the town, including Salani Bridge, Panja Chowk, Gujjar Mandi, ALG road and DC Office road.

“More than 300 vehicles were challaned for violation of traffic rules, with the main focus on non-usage of crash helmets, use of pressure horns and driving vehicles without requisite documents. Another 45 vehicles were also seized, which include two-wheelers, cars, goods as well as passenger vehicles along with some luxury cars,” the police said.
