6 students suspended after scuffle in GDC Poonch

Six students were suspended and an inquiry has been ordered after a scuffle broke out in the premises of Government Degree College, Poonch, on Tuesday morning.

Reports said, “A scuffle broke out between some students in the college premises on Tuesday morning, spreading chaos in the campus. Some students also received minor injuries in the incident.”

   

While taking note of the incident, the college authorities suspended six students, including four students from second semester of bachelor’s degree and two from fourth semester.

The college principal, professorTajinder Singh, told Greater Kashmir, “We have constituted an inquiry committee comprising of eleven members. The committee will probe the incident and submit a report for further action.”

Senior superintendent of police, Poonch, Ramesh Angral told Greater Kashmir that a police team intervened and pacified the situation. “College authorities have started an inquiry into the incident. We have not registered a case yet, and the concerned college authorities are handling the incident at their own level, as of now,” he said.
