Jammu and Kashmir Police has recovered 600 litres ofblack-marketed diesel from a shop in Balnoi village area of Mendhar in Poonchdistrict of Jammu and Kashmir.
Reports said that police officials raided a shop at NarBalnoi and recovered 600 litres of diesel kept in plastic containers.
The shopkeeper identified as Mohammad Nassar, who escapedfrom the spot few minutes before the police raid, was reportedly selling thefuel among locals at high rates as the area located close to Line of Control isnot having any petrol pump.
Police said that a case under relevant sections of lawincluding essential commodities act has been registered and manhunt has beenlaunched to nab the accused shopkeeper while investigation has also beenstarted to ascertain the source of fuel.
