7 injured in road accidents in Rajouri

Seven people sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Rajouri district on Saturday, police said.

They said that a motorcycle, JK11A 8965, en route to Rajourifrom Darhal plunged into a gorge near the shrine of SainGanji Sahib. “As aresult, Mohammad Riaz, son of Alam Din, and his two children, 7-year-old Mohsinand 10-year-old Aifa, sustained injuries,” they said. The injured were shiftedto Rajouri hospital, from where the doctors referred them to Government MedicalCollege and Hospital, Jammu.

   

At Chingus, police said, a Police Gypsy, JK02BA 4493,collided with a Truck, PB06E 2775, on the highway. Three people on board theGypsy sustained minor injuries and were hospitalized, they said. Meanwhile, aTruck, JK08A 7568, collided with a motorcycle at Kallar area on theJammu-Poonch highway, police said.They said that in the collision, themotorcyclist, who had not been identified, was injured. He was then shifted toRajouri hospital, where he was undergoing treatment when last reports pouredin. Police have taken cognizance of the three accidents.
