Police in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in Poonch district.
Official sources said that teams of police from Poonch cordoned off Shein Dhara and several adjoining villages following some “specific information”.
An official said that a cache of arms were recovered from the bushes in the area.
The cache includes an AK47 rifle, three magazines, forty three AK bullets, one Chinese pistol, one pistol magazine and a detonator, said the official
Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch, Ramesh K Angral had earlier told Greater Kashmir that searches were underway in the area.
