A Junior Commissioner Officer of the army died due to cardiac arrest near the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar area of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said today.
A police said that Naik Subedar R Singh fell unconscious during duty at a location near LoC in Mankote area following which he was shifted to army medical center where he was declared brought dead.
The official said that Singh is believed to have died due to cardiac arrest. The medico-legal formalities are being conducted at the civil hospital, he said.
