Army soldier mysteriously hit by bullet inside army camp in Rajouri, dies

An army soldier hit by a bullet inside an army camp in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday has succumbed, officials said on Friday.

A police source said that a soldier was mysteriously hit by a bullet in Narian village along Jammu-Poonch highway on Friday.

   

“He (soldier) received a bullet injury yesterday afternoon and was shifted to an army hospital where he succumbed late evening,” said the source.

The soldier, whose identity was not immediately revealed, was posted at RR unit in Mahore in Reasi district and was visiting Narian army camp in Rajouri district for some official purpose.

Meanwhile, police has begun an investigation into the mysterious death, said the source.
